Bentolite additives can be used as a binder for granulated agricultural products such as fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, and will also act as a disintegrant when the granule is wetted. Laponite additives can be used to make agriculture flowable products that can be spray delivered and that exhibit excellent cling to plant surfaces. Laponite additives can also aid in water retention when added to the soil around the root area of the plant, or can serve by itself as a root starter gel.
