Anti-Settling additives are commonly used in industrial solvent borne coatings to provide sag control and pigment suspension without increasing the “application” viscosity. The Y-20XP and Y-25X products affect viscosity in the very low shear region of where settling, sag, and leveling properties are controlled. The Y-25X is a paste like wax dispersion in Xylene, which the Y-20XP is pourable wax dispersion in Xylene. Both of these products should be processed during the high shear dispersion stage and do require a minimum processing temperature to complete the activation.

Product Spotlight
OPTIFLO® L1400
OPTIFLO® L1400 is a hydrophobically modified associative thickening polymer that was designed to efficiently thicken acrylic, styrene/acrylic, and vinyl acetate copolymer latex paint systems. OPTIFLO® L1400 typically exhibits 30 – 40% higher ICI viscosity at equal addition than other traditionally used ICI drivers. In-can stability can also be improved by the addition of OPTIFLO® L1400 to latex paint formulations.
